S/Y of the day ⛵

Meet Cœur, an 18.28m IMOCA class yacht launched in July 2022, designed by Sam Manuard and one of the entrants for the Vendée Globe 2028, the ultimate solo, non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race.

What makes her truly special is the little girl on her sail. Naylah, from the Democratic Republic of Congo, underwent heart surgery in 2021 and became the emblem of the Initiatives-Cœur association. Her portrait was painted by Titouan Lamazou, the winner of the 1st Vendée Globe in 1990.

After eight years at the helm, two Globe races, and 187 children saved, legendary skipper Samantha Davies has passed the torch to Violette Diderot, at 23, the youngest skipper ever to complete the Vendée Globe.

Born in 2001, Violette became French champion in the open420 at just 15, made her first English Channel crossing as a teenager, and crossed the Atlantic solo at 18. She's now sailing alongside her lifelong idol, Samantha Davies, who remains actively involved as technical and sports coach.

Initiatives-Cœur isn't just a racing boat. She's a vessel carrying hope – every race, every nautical mile, every finish line brings life-changing heart surgery to children who need it.

What a week on the water in Porto Cervo. 🌊

The 2026 Superyacht Regatta has wrapped up in style, with the Swan 115 Moat winning the Blue class and the SW 96 Liberty Squared winning the White class, both etching their names on the Silver Jubilee Cup.

Huge congratulations to both crews.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
This new catamaran is seeking a Captain to join the owners and cook/stew onboard in Italy in the next couple of weeks. The owners are mostly liveaboard and like to be involved in the sailing and decision making onboard. However, they are friendly and would like to create a family atmosphere onboard, whilst recognising the need for crew to have time off. The chase boat will be a support vessel for the yacht during both cruising and racing, and the captain will have their own cabin on the chaseboat. S/Y of the day ⛵️

Today's sailing yacht of the day proves that innovation doesn't require size. The Mojito 32 is a 9.8m performance cruiser from IDB Marine in Brittany that's been turning heads since her market launch in spring 2025.

With her distinctive scow bow (flat nose), Mojito 32 offers superior sailing characteristics on broad reaches, and better balance and performance where traditional bows struggle. Her electro-hydraulically retractable swivelling keel (1.0m-2.73m) and dual rudder blades let her fall completely dry with wading props; think shallow-water exploration without compromise.

At just 3.65 tonnes, she's built light and built smart. She boasts a high-performance sail plan with square-head mainsail and overlapping genoa. A gennaker or code zero extends via an extendable bowsprit for serious downwind work. She's specifically designed for regatta sailors tackling longer offshore routes in single or double-handed mode, and is the kind of boat where small crews need to work smart.

Below deck you’ll find two double cabins, a spacious wet room, galley and full nav desk, with everything you need for cruising. The innovative sandwich construction uses glass and flax fibres with a foam core from recycled PET bottles. There’s an optional electric motor available as alternative to the standard Yanmar diesel.

With three boats already completed since spring 2025, a fourth under construction, and more ordered, this little flounder is proving serious performance doesn't require a big footprint.

Les Voiles d’Antibes has begun⚓

The 31st edition (and 30th anniversary), kicked off yesterday at Port Vauban with the official arrival of some of the most beautiful classic and vintage yachts in the world. Crews checked in, the village opened its doors, and the evening wrapped with a welcome cocktail and opening concert on the Esplanade du Bastion Saint-Jaume.
