Accreditation of qualifications by EU Directive 2005/36/CE:
1. EU Qualifications:
Professional qualifications can be accredited online at http://www.educacionyfp.gob.es/servicios-al-ciudadano/catalogo/general/05/055024/ficha/055024.html .
2. Non-EU Qualifications:
A non-EU doctor who has had their titles homologated in Spain can also apply for accreditation if they have worked continuously in Spain for 3 years from the date of the homologation document. They can then apply as an EU applicant which is faster and cheaper (however this does not change their work restrictions).
Once the correct forms are submitted it takes approximately 30 days for a certificate to be issued online.
