Mechanical Assemblers to Norway
Your responsibilities
Barona AS are looking for mechanical assemblers to work in Norway on the assembly of electrical panels, equipment systems and solutions for the data centre industry. The work location is in Sande. The employer is Barona AS. The position is suitable for experienced assemblers as well as early-career applicants and recent graduates. Suitable educational backgrounds include electrical engineering, HVAC, construction, metalwork or industrial technology.

Your responsibilities
Your duties will include:
Mechanical assembly of electrical panels, equipment cabinets and structures.
Installation of frames, enclosures, covers, doors and protective structures.
Installation of mounting rails, fasteners and other structural components.
Mechanical installation of components and equipment.
Installation of cable trays, penetrations and other mechanical parts.
Drilling, fastening, measuring, fitting and other assembly tasks.
Use of hand tools and power tools.
Working according to assembly drawings and work instructions.
Inspection of the quality and safety of completed assemblies.
The work focuses on mechanical assembly and does not include electrical installations or connections that require electrical authorisation.
What we expect from you
We are looking for candidates with:
A vocational qualification or other suitable education in electrical engineering, HVAC, construction, metalwork, mechanical engineering or production technology.
Readiness for practical installation and assembly work.
Basic skills in using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to follow work instructions and read assembly drawings.
A careful and safety-conscious approach to work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in mechanical assembly, installation work or industrial production is an advantage, but extensive work experience is not required.
Recent graduates and graduates from other suitable fields are also welcome to apply.
What we offer
Pay and working hours
The salary is determined based on work experience and certificates or qualifications relevant to the position:
263.70–297.80 NOK per hour
Shift allowances are paid in addition to the basic hourly rate.
Morning-shift week: 06:30–14:15 Monday to Thursday and 06:30–14:00 on Friday.
Evening-shift week: 14:30–23:45 Monday to Thursday, with Friday off.
Working-time reduction compensation: 2.74%.

The employment contract is signed before travelling to Norway. On arrival, Barona will receive you at the Drammen office, provide guidance on practical arrangements before work begins and assist you with the tax office visit.
Shifts depend on the work location. Both day work and shift work are available in Sande.
Costs paid by the employee
Rent for accommodation arranged by Barona: approximately 5,000–6,000 NOK per month.
Flights and other travel costs to Norway. Airfares vary depending on the departure location, travel date and airline.
A possible train journey between Oslo and Drammen: approximately 220–320 NOK each way.
Possible workplace meals: approximately 60 NOK per meal, if a meal service is available at the location.
