Tanji Got Talent Organisation As I prepare to publish my book on Amazon, making it accessible to readers around the world, I am reflecting on my journey across Africa and my desperate attempts to cross the sea to reach Spain or Italy.

My journey was filled with weeks at sea, countless failed attempts, and numerous difficult and traumatic experiences. There was a stage in my life when I never thought I would see my mother again or even make it back to the seashore after surviving so many failed attempts.

Today, I have decided to put my entire journey into this book, sharing my experiences, struggles, and the harsh realities of irregular migration.

My reason for writing this book is simple: to educate the younger generation and my fellow Gambians about the dangers of irregular migration. I want them to understand that no dream, opportunity, or destination is worth risking one's life in such a dangerous journey.

Today, I am filled with renewed hope that I can build a better and more dignified future through legitimate means, without having to risk my life again.

This is no longer just a story about my personal struggles. It is now a journey of education, awareness, and hope for my fellow Gambians. Through this book, I hope to inspire young people to believe that there are safer ways to pursue their dreams and build a better future.

My sincere gratitude goes to the MRC Foundation for its support, encouragement, and the courage it has given me to share my story with the world.

My journey is a reminder that life is precious, hope is powerful, and our dreams are worth pursuing but never at the cost of our lives.

Tanji Got Talent Organisation had a successful capacity building on good leadership.

From this leadership training, I learned that a great leader must have six important qualities: integrity, vision, confidence, empathy, courage, and accountability. A good leader must be honest, believe in themselves, understand others, make difficult decisions, and take responsibility for both success and mistakes. https://tanjigottalent.org/

I also learned that executives have important responsibilities in an organization. They must lead by example, plan and organize activities, make fair decisions, represent members, communicate clearly, and solve problems. Their actions can motivate others and help the organization achieve its goals.

Finally, I learned that controlling means checking whether activities are going according to the organization's plans and rules. It helps identify mistakes and make corrections when necessary.

In conclusion, this training taught me that leadership is not just about having a position or giving orders. It is about serving others, working together, being responsible, and leading people in the right direction. 💪

FEEDBACK ON TGT EXECUTIVES CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING Tanji Got Talent Organisation

Alhamdulillah! Yesterday’s on 17/10/2026 TGT Young Executives has a Capacity Building Training which was a valuable and inspiring experience. The training provided us with an opportunity to learn, share ideas, and strengthen our leadership skills, teamwork, and commitment to community development.

The sessions on leadership development, harnessing talents, waste management, environmental protection, and practical compost making were very informative and meaningful. They reminded us of our responsibilities as executives to lead by example, work together, and contribute positively to our community.

I sincerely appreciate the TGT leadership, facilitators, and all participants for their time, dedication, and active participation in making the training a success.

This training has encouraged me to become a more responsible, committed, and effective leader. I believe that the knowledge and skills gained will help us improve our work and achieve the goals of Tanji Got Talent Organisation.

Together, let us continue to lead, inspire, and transform our community.

Tanji Got Talent Organisation (TGT) recognises that effective leadership is essential to building a strong, organised, and impactful community organisation. In this regard, a leadership training session was held on 17 October 2026 at Tanji Primary School to strengthen leadership capacity, promote teamwork, and improve the organisation’s day-to-day activities.

Leadership training is crucial because it equips team members with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to make informed decisions, communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, manage responsibilities, and work collaboratively towards shared goals. It also promotes accountability, discipline, transparency, and a stronger sense of commitment among members.

For an organisation like Tanji Got Talent, which focuses on education, talent development, and environmental protection, effective leadership is central to achieving its mission. From organising educational programmes and talent competitions to coordinating community clean-up exercises, tree-planting activities, and youth empowerment initiatives, every activity requires proper planning, cooperation, dedication, and responsible leadership.
