The Cameroon Petroleum Academy is design to provide world-class education in engineering and applied sciences in order to support and advance the petroleum and energy industries. The Institute is committed to academic excellence, and to fostering an intellectual environment that leads to the development of our graduates as whole persons and as the future leaders in their respective fields of expertise in Cameroon and beyond. CPA offers Diploma programs covering the oil and gas industry.The school’s primary objective is to provide training programs that directly meet the needs of industry, enabling students to access a wide range of positions at the beginning of their professional careers and for them to be immediately operational in the workplace. The reliance upon fossil fuels, particularly oil and gas, to supply Cameroon’s growing industrial and domestic requirements has increased rapidly during the past decade. However, the increasing world demands for these fuels and the growing uncertainty of traditional sources of supply have intensified Cameroon’s commitment to become self-sufficient in its fossil energy needs. With sustained discoveries of oil and gas resources and with proper management and development policies, this goal may be attainable. Continued oil and gas discoveries on the coast land have intensified interest and activities in the science and technology of developing these reservoirs. The two year program leading to the Diploma of Engineering Technology is designed to train technologists for all aspects of the oil and gas industry.
