What happens when silicone meets an aggressive biologic formulation in an autoinjector, all within a single delivery system?
SHL Medical and Stevanato Group have conducted a joint study examining different syringe siliconization approaches in a pre-filled syringe (PFS) autoinjector system using a high-polysorbate, dupilumab-like formulation.
The study evaluates the performance of the Molly 2.25 mL autoinjector combined with Alba® and Nexa® pre-filled syringes under accelerated aging conditions.
At PDA Universe 2026, the results of the study will be shared in a poster authored by Dr. Nina Fetz and Enrico Barichello, and presented on site by Thomas James and Alan Xu. The study looks at key syringe-device performance parameters across different aging time points.
If you’re working with high-concentration biologics or PFS-based systems, visit the poster for a closer look at the study findings.
