This is a quick reminder for your next “job application period”. Your LinkedIn and WhatsApp appearances can go a long way and get important when applying for a job. It’s obvious, yet important:

Whenever a recruiter isn’t sure about an applying persona, they use your phone number (which grants access to your WhatsApp profile) and your name (which leads straight to your LinkedIn and/or page).
That’s why we’re reminding you to check your pictures and ideally create a professional LinkedIn page - especially when applying.

One of the wild cards when starting a new job can be your new work environment. Your new boss is a major part of that environment. How can you tell - BEFORE starting that job - if your next boss is a good boss?

Our simple, yet effective advice: pay attention in the interview! That’s where you can tell how your potential next boss acts.

1) A good boss listens more than he/she talks. (They ask you questions.)

2) A good boss gives examples of how they work. (Insights into past projects, detailed explanations of what programs and who they work with.)

3) A good boss focuses on you as a person. (And not on you as a “candidate”. He/she focuses on your personality & X factor, and tries to find out what drives you.)

A cover letter? In 2022? Really? Yes.

Done right, it can make a big difference! When hesitant who to invite, or who to make an offer to, HR often go back to the cover letter and do a simple, but effective check:
How passionate are you, how determined are you, how much do you want this job at this company, and how creatively do you present your added value.
A creative cover letter can have quite the impact in these situations.

1) What did you do? Call out your action!
2) How did you do it? Explain how you executed that action.
3) What was the result of that action? Quantify your effort!
