CV TIPS: How To Grab Your Reader’s Attention 👍
Your CV doesn’t need to tell your life story; rather, it should showcase significant and impressive aspects of your career in a way that quickly grabs the reader’s attention.
Rules and norms for CVs vary from country to country, so be sure to adapt your CV to suit the conventions of the country where you are applying.

You don’t have to include a photo, but we strongly recommend that you do. Our digital presence is now part and parcel of our day-to-day lives and your profile (whatever the platform) will show up in preliminary searches carried out by HR professionals. Your CV is therefore an opportunity to include a polished, professional photo, ideally taken by a photographer. This is a key investment – it’s your image that’s at stake.

The photo also tells the reader more about you, such as your age (if you have chosen not to include your date of birth elsewhere), ethnicity, and gender. Such information should not be viewed as potentially giving rise to discrimination; indeed, it could help debunk certain stereotypes. It is also often mandatory to include such information when setting up online profiles.
🔎Where can we find you?
Personal details, such as your address and any work permits you hold, should also be listed in your CV. If you are short on space, these can be put in a footer. However, you want to make it easy for a potential employer to contact you directly, so your telephone number and email address should feature prominently in the body of your CV.
