As we begin to look back on the 2026 Skills Canada National Competition, we want to start by giving a huge shoutout to all of the delegates who joined us in Toronto this year!

Thank you for taking the time to travel with us and for supporting our competitors throughout the competition. Your encouragement, guidance, and dedication made a meaningful difference every step of the way.

Delegates play such an important role at the National Competition - serving as coaches, mentors, representatives, and chaperones. Traveling with Team NWT simply wouldn’t be possible without our delegates. Thank you!

Skills Canada NWT is hiring a Youth Engagement and Programs Coordinator!✨

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic person to support the planning, delivery, and promotion of youth programs and events across the NWT.

This role includes working with students, schools, communities, industry partners, and government representatives to promote skilled trades and technology careers in the north.

You’ll be involved in:
✅ Program coordination
✅ Event planning
✅ Public speaking
✅ Communications
✅ Trades Awareness Initiatives

Skills Canada NWT will be at the Community Showcase in Yellowknife on September 10th! 🛠️

This event is put on by the City of Yellowknife, this year it will feature 50 organizations! Don’t miss out on a wonderful opportunity to connect with the services, programs, and activities that are available throughout our community.
