Community Employment Services We’re your one stop centre for Employment Services in Oxford County!

CES offers a variety of services and programming for job seekers, ranging from youth and students to newcomers and mid career professionals. The knowledgeable CES resource staff are trained to assist in all aspects of the job hunt from providing labour market information, reviewing cover letters and resumes, to offering employment counselling. CES provides free workshops focused on helping partici

pants increase their job readiness and build or augment employable skills. CES also works closely with local employers to help advertise and fill vacant positions as well as provide information about available wage subsidy and apprenticeship programs. CES offers free of charge consultation, recruitment and hiring assistance as well as prescreening and referral of candidates that meet the employer's requirements. Employers are also invited to post job ads directly on WorkinOxford.ca, Oxford County's job site, which receives tens of thousands of hits a month.

Recognizing Excellence: CASS CHEF Students Honoured at the Oxford County Career Expo!

We had the privilege of celebrating the incredible students of the College Avenue Secondary School Culinary Hospitality Enriches Futures (CASS CHEF) program — and what a well-deserved recognition it was!

These talented young chefs were presented with Certificates of Appreciation for their outstanding contributions to the Oxford County Career Expo over the past two years.
Certificates were proudly presented by Mayor Jerry Acchione (City of Woodstock), Mayor Brian Petrie (Town of Ingersoll), and Jeff Surridge, CEO of Employment and Education (CES).

Over two years, CASS CHEF students prepared and served luncheon meals for more than 300 employers, volunteers, and community partners — demonstrating exceptional professionalism, teamwork, and culinary excellence at one of Oxford County's largest workforce development events, which annually engages more than 3,000 students and 150 employers.

This recognition is a testament to what's possible when municipalities, schools, employers, and community partners come together in support of our youth. To every CASS CHEF student: your hard work, dedication, and talent have left a lasting impression on our community — and we couldn't be more proud!

Thank you to our incredible partners City of Woodstock, Ontario and Town of Ingersoll for joining us in celebrating these exceptional young people and for your continued commitment to workforce development across Oxford County.
