Youth Employment Services We provide free, inclusive employment services to youth ages 16-29 in Manitoba.

Besides offering free inclusive employment services for youth, Youth Employment Services also partners with other youth serving community organizations to maximize the wrap around effect and create all encompassing and inclusive resources. We provide information sessions, job party presentations, mock interviews, job fairs, and are always open to new opportunities to aide youth and/or other youth serving agencies, community centres, and schools. Additionally Youth Employment Services works with employers of various fields, trades, and professions by highlighting organizations, holding presentations and workshops, and are able to pre-screen candidates when seeking future employees.

We had a fantastic time partnering with LITE Winnipeg for a Community Clean-up downtown this morning! YES MB clients gained valuable volunteer experience and built connections that will contribute to their unique paths to success!

We're hosting an Info Session with for their Festival Security Program. This training program includes free trainings and certifications (that normally cost money) that will prepare you to volunteer as a Security Guard for Folk Fest 2027!

Gain valuable work experience, become a provincially license security guard, and attend Folk Fest for free with backstage access!

Event Details:
When: October 13th, 9:30am-12:30pm (in-person only)

In recognition of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, our office will be closed starting September 29th at 12pm and for the entire day on September 30th.

On Sept. 29th, some YES MB team members will be attending Manitoba Youth Centre's Truth and Reconciliation events. We are honoured to be invited as we continue our partnership with MYC through our new Education, Careers, and Healthy Outcomes for Justice Involved Youth Program.

The rest of the YES MB team will be heading to the Canadian Human Rights Museum in the afternoon to learn and reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of residential school. Specifically, reflecting on the generational impacts experienced by youth who walk through our doors every day.

25% of the youth we work with self-identify as Indigenous. We are dedicated to helping Indigenous youth find their unique path to success; whether that's helping with their first job application, securing funding for post-secondary, or building up their confidence to pursue their dreams.

Truth and Reconciliation is a never-ending practice; stepping into community, listening to Indigenous voices, and working to ensure that history does not repeat itself. We aim to utilize this week to reflect individually and as an organization on how we can practice Truth and Reconciliation every single day of the year.
