Be informed about what employers can and can't ask during an job interview.

You can respond to illegal or inappropriate questions by:
• Redirecting back to your qualifications
• Reading between the lines; consider the motivation behind the question and speak to that
• Asking them to clarify how the question is relevant
• Using sense of humour to assert your legal right to refuse to answer (e.g. if you are asked about your criminal background during an initial interview, you may divert the question by asking if there is an offer of employment on the table)
• Responding with neutrality if small talk brings up controversial or potentially personally incriminating topics.

Do not feel pressured to answer any question in an interview that makes you feel uncomfortable. Remain polite and redirect back to your qualifications.

• 100 Forklift-licenced operators
• 600 Material Handlers
A large distribution centre in Oshawa is hiring Temporary Positions.

APPLY NOW:
Interested candidates should submit their resume to Rejidha Munisamy at [email protected] indicating their interest — in either the Material Handler or Forklift Operator position.

Those that are selected for an interview will be notified and will have a time slot booked on one of two event days (Friday September 11 or Thursday September 17) from 8:30am - 3:30pm.

The positions being filled are Temporary for a 2-3 month period with the possibility of an extension. The positions are to be filled for the end of September.

100 Forklift-licenced operators
Seeking reliable and safety-focused Reach Forklift Operators with experience operating a Raymond Stand-Up Reach Truck. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at heights and committed to maintaining a safe and productive warehouse environment.

600 Material Handlers
The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient movement of materials, products, and inventory throughout the warehouse. This role supports receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control activities while maintaining safety and quality standards

Questions should NOT be asked which relate to your:
8. Race/Colour/Religion
• All questions are illegal
They CAN ask: “Are available to work on a Saturday or Sunday?”
• *An employer is expected to make an effort to accommodate employees but does NOT have to if these accommodations would prove an undue hardship on the business
• You are under no obligation to respond to these types of questions.
• Respond by saying: “There’s nothing that would prevent me from doing the job properly”.
