🚧 HARD AT WORK ON OUR ROADS 🚧

You may have noticed Town staff out and about repairing potholes and completing road maintenance throughout Vermilion.

With many areas requiring attention, our crews continue to work through priority repairs as efficiently as possible. There is a dedicated team behind every patch—preparing the area, completing the repair and keeping the worksite safe—all while working hard to maintain our roads before the snow flies.

We’re incredibly grateful for the effort our Public Works team puts in each day, both out in the community and behind the scenes. If you see them working, please slow down, give them space and help keep everyone safe.

Vermilion’s AG Grounds are about to get a whole lot more colourful! Art in the Park is happening Saturday, September 12, and there is SO much packed into one day.

⚠️ Construction Advisory - Wastewater Infrastructure Upgrades

Effective Date: September 8, 2026 - Until Further Notice

Where: Aspen Trail

Details:

Wastewater system upgrades will take place at Vermilion Provincial Park starting September 8, 2026.

Construction crews will begin work around the maintenance shop and the residence. In mid-October, construction will begin at the main lift station located near the Aspen Trailhead. Visitors using the trail system may notice construction equipment, noise, and increased activity in the work areas during business hours, Monday to Friday. Some trails may be temporarily closed.

For your safety, please follow all signs, barriers, and fenced areas. Visitors should stay away from active work areas and use caution when near construction equipment.

Construction work will pause from December to mid-February and should be completed by spring 2027.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure work is being completed.

Follow the direction of all signage and personnel in the area and stay out of active construction zones.

📢 **Labour Day Office Closure**

The Town of Vermilion office will be closed on **Monday, September 7, 2026**, in recognition of Labour Day.

The office will reopen and resume regular hours on **Tuesday, September 8**.

Summer isn’t quite finished yet! With some beautiful weather in the forecast, this long weekend is your last chance to soak up some fun at the Vermilion Splash Park before it closes for the season.

The Splash Park will be closing after the September long weekend, so grab the kids, pack the sunscreen and make the most of these last few days of summer! ☀️💦

🎶 WOW… THANK YOU, VERMILION! 🎶

What an incredible night! ❤️

More than 700 people came out for Vermilion’s inaugural Hometown Celebration featuring Nate Haller, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off this brand-new community event!

A HUGE thank you to our event partners, the Vermilion Agricultural Society and Lakeland College Canada, for helping make this night possible.

We’d also like to thank UFA, Webb’s Machinery, Cornerstone Co-op Liquor, MAZ Entertainment, all of our amazing food vendors, and everyone who helped contribute to the evening.

To our volunteers… THANK YOU! Events like this simply don’t happen without people willing to jump in, lend a hand and help keep everything running behind the scenes. We appreciate every one of you. ❤️

And finally, thank you to the 700+ people who came through the gates! Whether you came for the music, the food, the beer gardens, or simply to spend a night out with your community, you helped make our very first Hometown Celebration one to remember.

🎤 And of course, a huge thank you to Nate Haller for putting on an incredible show for Vermilion!

We had such an amazing time… we think we might just have to do it again. 😉🎶
