By identifying the sector’s strengths and challenges through research, and engaging in collaborations and government relations, Vantage Point has emerged as a relevant voice for the sector in recent years. Vantage Point provides training and capacity-building support in areas of governance, leadership, human resources, strategic planning, and other key topics that support non-profits to achieve greater impact.

On September 15, we will be in the region delivering our workshop, Leadership: Conflict and Challenging Conversations. This workshop will explore how to navigate difficult conversations, respond to conflict thoughtfully, and build the skills needed to move challenging situations forward.

Delivered in partnership with the Chilliwack Chamber of Commerce and funded by the First West Foundation, the session is designed to give non-profit leaders and teams practical tools they can put to work right away.

On October 27, frontline workers, leaders, and Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee members from across B.C.’s community social services sector will come together at the Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre for a full day of connection, learning, and collective care.

This year’s conference will focus on practical approaches to creating psychologically supportive workplaces, with sessions exploring:

• Indigenous Cultural Safety
• Neuro-affirming practice
• De-escalation
