This Legal Administrative Assistant position reports directly to a Partner and Senior Counsel and has only become available as the incumbent has moved to a boutique law firm only 15 minutes away from her home. In this position you will be responsible for managing client and file information, including establishing and maintaining organizational systems to manage paper-flow, client contact; drafting and filing documents; billing and administrative tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Billing of accounts; handling client collections.
• File management including organizing and managing documents of both physical and digital filing systems.
• Preparation and filing of standard documents on SEDAR and SEDI.
• Other general administrative and secretarial support services as required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years LAA experience, preferably in Securities and Corporate Commercial law.
• Ability to effectively manage a high volume of work.
• Positive and willing attitude.
• Excellent spelling and grammar – attention to detail is a must.
• Keyboarding of at least 60 wpm.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have completed an LAA program.
