For this game of Chase the Ace, the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society (FAACS) will be partnering with the Breton Ability Centre Charitable Foundation (BAC). The Feral and Abandoned Cat Society is a 100% volunteer operated charity, providing Trap-Neuter-Return services and public education about the importance of spaying or neutering pets. With an estimated 20,000 feral, stray and abandoned cats living homeless within the CBRM, there is much work to be done. Funds raised by the society pay for veterinarian fees to have these cats spayed or neutered, helping to prevent unwanted litters of kittens, stabilize the homeless population, and improve quality of life for both the cats and our community. The Breton Ability Centre Charitable Foundation raises funds to enrich the quality of life for individuals who reside at the centre. Breton Ability Centre (BAC), is a dynamic not for profit organization that is committed to providing quality supports and services for individuals with varying disabilities. BAC supports individuals who are coping with complex challenges due to severe developmental disabilities, mental health challenges and complicating physical disabilities through its four small option community homes and its Regional Rehabilitation Centre and Adult Rehabilitation Centre. As well, BAC operates a host of successful social enterprises which create meaningful employment opportunities for individuals. These social enterprises include; The Best of Cape Breton Gift Shop, Future Links Mini Putt, a full print and design shop known as “The Print Shop”, and CBRM’s only Community Botte Donation Drop off. BAC’s mission is “to help change the world for people with disabilities”, and each day BAC supports individuals to learn and develop their personal, social, employment and educational skills in order to help reach their potential.”

You do not have to be present for the draw to win! If you are not present when we draw your ticket, we will call you. You can then choose whether to come to Ziggy's (within a reasonable amount of time) to select a card from the table, or have an organizer randomly select for you. If we cannot reach you, then a card will be randomly selected for you and you will be notified of the result, and arrangements will be made to get your winnings to you.
