Our client is an ambitious venture capital funded startup in the exploding veterinary telemedicine/telehealth industry. Their goal is to offer affordable, reliable and convenient medical services to all pet parents through their innovative and sophisticated veterinary telemedicine platform and marketplace.
The Strategy and Marketing team is looking for a talented Marketing Manager to help build the future of veterinary telemedicine. They are building a full marketplace that connects pet parents with veterinarians and veterinary technicians using state-of-the-art cloud based software and applications. They work with cutting edge technologies to help bring ideas to life. They want to leverage your expert analytical digital marketing experience and exceptional communication skills to help support and drive marketing campaigns, analyse and interpret organic and paid social media and manage public relations such as writing press releases and responding to media requests.
What you’ll do:
As a highly competent digital marketer you will become a key member of the Strategy and Marketing team. You will help design and develop digital marketing campaigns with a keen eye for analytics, performance and program effectiveness. You will work closely and act as liaison between their 3rd party branding agency and the strategy and marketing team to determine the reach of our blog and organic/paid social media campaigns. You will manage, grow and mentor a Marketing Coordinator and use your exceptional communication skills to write media releases and assist with investor reports. Whether you are working on implementing new marketing campaigns, or analyzing and growing metrics - your contributions will directly impact their pet parents, the veterinarian community and the overall growth of the company.
Challenges you will work on:
Help manage and monitor digital marketing campaigns; Liaise with their 3rd party agency in Montreal and support them with SEO/SEM, paid, organic and CRM campaigns.
Work closely with the Chief Strategic Officer and collaborate with other parties such as the Medical Director to ensure all marketing and communications are medically sound
Maintain and analyze reports on marketing program effectiveness and overall business impact
Work with the data team to shape metrics, budgets, and targets and measuring against them
Manage, grow and mentor the Marketing Coordinator. Have the ability to delegate for both development and delineation.
Respond to media requests, create organic media releases and help with investor reports. Maintaining clear and effective communication is key for this role.
Keep in touch with the latest in online marketing trends and tactics for improving efficiency or engagement metrics.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Marketing or equivalent education/experience
5-7 years of experience with a focus on marketing plan development, SEO/SEM, analytics and marketing campaign performance measurement
Highly analytical and can drive concise insights from different types of data and reports
Experience working in a startup environment; Comfortable with organized chaos.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills
Must be a self-starter and the ability to foresee upcoming plans and projects
Experience in leading marketing campaigns from start to finish
Strong relationship building skills
Familiarity with SEO/SEM
Google Adwords, Google Analytics and SEO/SEM certifications are an asset
