During their careers, most employees will spend more time at work than they will in any other activity, except sleeping. Today, March 2nd, is Employee Appreciation Day – a great time to show how much you value all the hard work and loyalty of your team.
It’s important to reward your employees for a job well done. Some surveys have shown that employee recognition has a direct correlation to employee satisfaction, and satisfied employees do better work and are less inclined to leave.
Don't let the day-to-day of your job get in the way of showing your gratitude; a little workplace appreciation goes a long way towards boosting employee morale.
Make employee recognition and appreciation an on-going part of your leadership style. Richard Branson once said, “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to.”
