Our client is currently seeking applicants for the position of Millwrights Helper - Mechanical to join our dynamic team in Toronto.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-> Install and maintain pressure system of piping
-> Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings
-> Prepare own layouts
-> Fabricate and weld valve bank frames and other welding requirements
-> Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components and water systems
-> Operate various machine tools and equipment
-> Carry out special projects
-> Anticipate and solve problems
-> Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy.
-> Consult your Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor if you are not 100% sure of how to perform tasks in a safe manner.
-> Follow all safety rules, standards and procedures at all times in all areas.
-> Know what types of Personal Protective Equipment are required for the jobs in your area and always use them properly.
-> Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products.
-> Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements.
-> Follow all ISO Standard Operating Procedures to ensure world-class quality products are supplied to our customers.
-> Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
-> Certificate of Qualification
-> Familiarity with Industrial Equipment and experience required in automotive tooling
-> Must be able to use hand tools, (hand benders, power threaders, hydraulic hose grimpers etc.)
-> Some machining skills (lathe, milling machines, drill press, surface grinders etc.)
-> Ability to read/interpret blueprints accurately as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
-> Knowledge of lubrication systems and air compressors
-> Understand precision equipment such as pumps, hydraulic motors, CNC boring mills, and other shops equipment
-> Knowledge of adhesive glue systems
-> Ability to work as a team member and individually
-> Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade
-> Must have own tools
-> Good communication skills
-> Good mathematical skills
Requirements:
-> Must be able to work with minimal supervision
-> Work Experience in mechanical field – Minimum 1-2 years.
