Direct Staffing Solutions is seeking to hire an accounting professional with strong organizational skills and a cost accounting background. Qualifications and job responsibilities for the position are detailed below.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have completed a professional accounting designation program (CGA or CPA).
- Must have a minimum of 5 years accounting and financial management experience with at least three years of managing a full P&L and Balance Sheet.
- Must be familiar with a zero-based budget process, tracking and updating forecasts based on trends.
- ERP system experience.
- Must possess a strong cost accounting understanding.
- Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to problem solve.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and have the ability to work with formulas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing, maintaining, and analyzing budgets and preparing monthly reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Improving inventory accuracy by managing inventory control systems including cycle counts, bills of material and physical inventories
- Maintaining records to document and explain variances.
- Assist Corporate Head Office with month end close consolidation activities and other accounting related activities.
- Implement systems and controls utilizing current RP or (SAP after migration) to improve the financial performance of the facility.
- Measure, report and present monthly expense/variance results to local management
- Prepare and analyze manufacturing reports for cost center reporting, benchmark metrics, purchase price variance for raw materials, returns, shipping cost, labor costs, etc.
- Conduct periodic reviews of common operations business practices and adopt the best practice when possible.
- Management of employee vacation accrual
- Monitoring, managing and tracking utilities for the facility.
- Administering payroll process and payroll related items.
- Provide financial analysis to measure key strategies including manufacturing cost and inventory analysis and performance.
