Forest Hill Part Time Nanny Position

Overview

This busy family of 5 are seeking their next long-term nanny for their 3 children (5 yo girl and two boys 7, 10) years old. They are seeking a live out, long term Nanny Monday to Friday 2-7 or 3-8. Flexibility is required as both parents work long hours. The position is $31 gross per hour offering $25 hours per week.
the ideal nanny will be energetic, active, and engaging with their children.

Job Description
-Driving children to activities, sports, and facilitating pick up and drop offs
-Preparing healthy meals for children, cleaning up after meals, and prepping food for the next day
-Engage children in daily routines and schedules
-Provide a stimulating environment for activities such as sports, playing games, and assisting with homework to foster their growth and development
-Provide responsible care and maintain a safe environment for children

Job Requirements
-Canadian Citizen or PR status
-English first language and/or fluent both written and verbal
-Must hold a clear driving record, Full G license, be a confident and experienced driver in Toronto as well as with driving children to activities and pick up/drop off.
-Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study
-Minimum 2 years experience working as a private nanny
-Valid CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to obtain
-Clear Criminal Background check within 6 month or willing to obtain

Salary
The position is $31 gross per hour offering $25 hours per week.

Nanny/Housekeeper Position - Rosedale, Toronto, Ontario

A unique opportunity to be a Nanny for a one-year-old boy. The family is looking for an experienced Nanny who is hard-working, caring, and adaptable to change. This Nanny/Housekeeping position is at a private residence in Rosedale, Toronto. This is a long-term, full-time live-out position; the hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am-6 pm, with the opportunity for extra evening and weekend work if the ideal candidate chooses. Flexibility and the ability to work well with others are a must, as the position requires working alongside other household staff, including housekeepers and a chef. The job is a combination of childcare and housekeeping, with the ideal candidate being able to fill in where is needed based on the day. The mother works mainly from the office but is home occasionally and is also a hands-on Mom with her son.

Primary Duties
-The care and supervision of the child in a nurturing and safe environment
-Child-related duties, including preparing bottles and feeding meals, changing clothing, age-appropriate play, visits to the park, nap time routine, etc.
-Detailed cleaning of the residence in conjunction with other staff in the household
-Laundry, ironing, and changing beds

Additional Information
The ideal candidate must have a positive can-do attitude, embrace change and work well both as a team and independently.

Starting Salary
60,000-65,000 Gross per year

This question is both simple and complicated. Simply put, when you find a nanny that you love don’t let them go. It might seem like when looking for a nanny finding someone who checks all the boxes is a needle in a haystack scenario. We have a thorough recruitment process and we ask critical questions that help ensure our Nannie’s are in it for the long haul if that’s what the families are looking for.

A big question to think about as a family though, is what do we have to offer as an employer that would make a nanny want to stay and work for our family long term? This question requires some thought and for you to put yourself in the Nannie’s shoes.
Consider factors such as pay, benefits, vacation days, respecting their time, open communication, match of parenting style.
These are all important things to think about and if a nanny is happy where they work, it will reflect in every aspect of their role.
