BOOKKEEPER
Our manufacturing client is seeking for a bookkeeper to join their team! A Canadian business with excellent work environment and growth opportunities.

*Responsibilities
AP/AR planning and follow up
Monthly bank reconciliation
Maintain general ledgers and financial statement
Post journal entries
HST Return and filings
Invoicing, billing and deposit cheques and process credit card, EFT/Wire payments
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Report analysis and findings to management team

*Qualifications
Background in accounting or accounting related fields
Previous experience as bookkeeper or accounting clerk with full cycle accounting experience
Fluent in oral and written English.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting to meet critical deadlines
Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experienced working with Quickbooks or other accounting software
Experienced user in Microsoft Office programs including outlook, excel and ppt.

Control monthly inventory counts and annual audit of inventory
including raw materials, WIP & FG counts.
• Implement and apply cost policies and procedures.
• Ensure established policies and procedures as related to the physical
inventory are followed and enforced and recommend changes when
necessary.
• Report changes in obsolete inventory on a quarterly basis.
• Analyze gross margin by products and customer groups, sales trends,
product mix and recommend changes.
• Maintain standard costs.
possible improvements and risks when necessary.
• Prepare inter-company costs for intercompany transactions.
• Prepare monthly detailed financial reports.
• Complete monthly financial analysis package for management, detailing
financial results.
• Review and complete all month end requirements including journal
entries, cost reviews, accruals, provisions, allowances, depreciation, payroll,
insurance & other entries in a timely manner.
• Develop annual budget and forecasting processes.
• Assist in ERP implementation.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience as a Cost Accountant, working within in
a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to achieve deadlines
• Experience with cost accounting process.
• Hold a professional accounting designation (CPA/CMA/CA/CGA or in
final stages of completion and committed to completing)
• Ability to work independently and also enjoy a collaborative and creative
work environment
• Strong communication, technology and system skills, including
proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource
planning (ERP) systems.
• ERP implementation experience is a strong asset
• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to legally work in Canada
