🎃 Small pumpkins. Big impact. A world without polio.
Brian Stewart recently represented the Rotary Club of Summerside as Premier Rob Lantz welcomed Island Rotary representatives and End Polio Now Champion, Past District Governor Duncan Conrad, for the signing of a proclamation declaring October 24 World Polio Day on Prince Edward Island.
Premier Lantz was interested in learning more about Rotary’s work to eradicate polio and pleased to recognize this important cause.
Here in Summerside, our annual Pumpkins for Polio event turns community generosity into global impact. Last year, we raised more than $20,000 Canadian to help end polio! 💜 At current average vaccine prices, that’s equivalent to the cost of roughly 94,000 oral polio vaccine doses.... lets see what we can do this year!
📍 Rotarians from across PEI will gather at Charlottetown City Hall on October 23 at 9:30 a.m. to raise the End Polio Now flag.
