Our engines are built to support reliable day-to-day operations. That’s why, starting in Q4 2026, we are updating how they respond to issues with the SCR exhaust aftertreatment system.
➡️ What does that mean?
The SCR system reduces harmful nitrogen oxides in exhaust gases. When problems occur, engine power is automatically reduced — which can interrupt work.
The updated controls make these power restrictions less severe in certain situations, giving operators more time to resolve the issue while continuing their work.⏱️ All applicable EU and US regulatory requirements remain fulfilled.
This reduces unplanned interruptions, facilitates service and maintenance work, and lowers the risk of unexpected downtime, particularly for older fleets.
