Small Step, Big Impact!

Including this question in your interview process is a simple way to create a more inclusive experience. It gives candidates the opportunity to share what they may need in order to fully participate and perform at their best.

When employers create space for these conversations early, it shows candidates that accessibility and inclusion are part of the workplace culture, not just an afterthought.

Sometimes the smallest actions in the hiring process can make the biggest difference in helping people feel welcomed!

The County of Prince Edward is committed to ensuring equal access and participation for everyone.

🏖️Wellington Rotary Beach is equipped with two Mobi‑Chair floating beach wheelchairs and Mobi‑Mats, helping make the beach more accessible for residents and visitors.

📆Free daily rentals from July 4 to September 2, 2026 between the hours of 10 am - 4 pm.

🔸Mobi-Chair users are secured in the chair with a harness to ensure their safety. The Mobi-Chair works like a wheelchair and floats in the water; however, it does require assistance from another person to use.

🔸Both adults and children can use the Mobi-Chair

🔸Accessible beach mats (Mobi-Mats) are also in place over the sand at the beach leading to the water; no booking is required to enjoy.

📞Residents and visitors can book a Mobi-Chair for free by emailing [email protected] or by phone 613.476.2148 extension 5003.
