September is Hunger Action Month 💛

Hunger affects individuals and families in every community, and Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about food insecurity and take steps in the collective role we can play to address it.

As part of our annual Turn the Tables on Hunger initiative and commitment to giving back, teams across Agilec will come together during the week of September 14 to support local food banks and community organizations that help ensure no one goes hungry. We are excited to recognize Ashley from our Goderich team, who changed lives last month by supporting 34 individuals in finding and sustaining meaningful employment.

Ashley creates an environment where clients feel respected, heard, and supported by communicating openly, providing clear information, and ensuring clients have access to the resources they need to succeed. By taking the time to understand each individual’s strengths, goals, and barriers, she empowers clients to make informed decisions about their employment journey and build confidence in their abilities. Her ongoing support with job retention, workplace adjustments, and problem-solving helps clients overcome challenges and achieve long-term success, while fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging in the workplace.

Positions Required:
•Automotive Service Technician (310S Licensed)
• 1st Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician
• 2nd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician
• 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician

Automotive Service Technician Requirements
•Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician License in Ontario.
•Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record preferred.
• Additional manufacturer certifications are considered an asset.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year Apprentice Requirements
•Registered 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Year Apprentice Automotive Service Technician working toward a 310S License.
•Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
•Enrollment in, or successful progression through, an approved Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship Program.
•Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain apprenticeship sponsorship requirements.
