Why did we build EqualHires?
Because we kept asking a simple question:
What if hiring actually showed people what was happening behind the screen?
Today, a candidate can spend hours tailoring a resume, applying for a job, and then hear absolutely nothing.
👤 Did anyone review it?
❌ Was it rejected because they lacked the right skills?
⏱️ Did someone else simply apply earlier?
🎭 Was the decision based on experience or on a name, school, company, photo, or other information that had nothing to do with their ability to do the job?
On the other side, recruiters are dealing with a different problem.
📥 Hundreds or even thousands of applications.
🚫 Too many unqualified candidates.
📄 Resumes that don't clearly show the skills that matter.
⏳ Hours spent trying to find the few people who are actually a strong fit.
🎲 And hidden bias baked into screening processes that most systems never acknowledge.
We believed there had to be a better way.
That's why we built EqualHires.
Not another job board.
Not another system that floods a recruiter's inbox with thousands of resumes.
We wanted to rebuild hiring around what people can actually do.
So we built EqualHires around three principles:
🎯 Skills-first hiring - evaluate candidates based on capability and relevant experience, not background or pedigree.
🕵️ Anonymous-first screening - candidate identity stays protected during early screening so recruiters focus on qualifications before they ever see a name or personal identity.
🔍 Transparent Hiring™ - every job has a visible, structured hiring journey. Candidates can see where they stand, from application through to offer, not a black box, a live system.
And we didn't stop there.
Recruiters can:
⚙️ Define the skills, experience, education, certifications, and languages that matter for a role
🤖 Use ruled based matching and transparent scoring to surface stronger candidates
📊 Add skills assessments
🔗 Integrate with their existing ATS or use EqualHires API or as a complete hiring platform
Candidates can:
📍 See their application progress in real time
💡 Understand the skills and signals that helped them move forward
🎯 Receive personalised job recommendations
📈 Get insights to improve their next application
That's the future we believe hiring should move toward.
🔻 Less guessing.
🔻 Less bias.
🔻 Less resume overload.
🔺 More skills.
🔺 More transparency.
🔺 More meaningful opportunities for qualified people.
Because a person's opportunity shouldn't depend on how well they navigate a black-box hiring system.
People should be evaluated by what they can do not simply by who they are on paper.
That's why we built EqualHires.
And we're just getting started. 🚀
