East Granby, CT., December 16, 2016 – Pcdata USA, the North American division of Pcdata, a global leader in Pick- and Put to Light order fulfillment and tracking solutions for the supply chain industry, moved to their new location on 29 Kripes Road in East Granby, CT.

‘We really needed the extra space for a number of reasons’, says Russell Powell, Operations Leader at Pcdata’s North American. ‘First and foremost for the additional team members we are bringing on, we were simply running out of office space’. Powell continues, ‘but the larger warehouse also really helps us stay organized and efficient with the incoming and outgoing product flow’. Pcdata took office of the new facility in September.

Pcdata’s Pick-, and Put to Light solutions are part of a lean process, offering shorter throughput times, fewer errors, significant cost savings; additionally, the result is increased customer satisfaction, a faster ability to supply products, and process transparency. Traditional picking methods are one of highest expenses when operating a warehouse. Pcdata lowers that cost through leading edge Pick to Light systems.

GREENVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 15, 2016) – Inflexible lift truck lease agreements can threaten productivity and drain budgets as operations struggle to adapt to rapidly-changing business demands. Yale Materials Handling Corporation introduces New Every Two, a leasing program that allows operations to adjust fleet composition and upgrade to the latest technology while controlling costs.

Yale will upgrade qualifying trucks leased through the program with new replacement units featuring the latest technology every two years. Operations can even fine-tune fleet size and configuration with different truck models and quantities according to changing demands. The New Every Two program also extends factory warranties and includes comprehensive maintenance coverage to minimize the risk of unplanned downtime.

“Whether too long or too strict, contracts built around the supplier instead of customers threaten operational goals, ultimately inflating costs and limiting efficiency,” says Chris Murtha, Brand Marketing Manager. “The New Every Two program is a prime example of how flexible fleet financing through Yale Financial Services empowers customers to align their fleet with changing needs and coordinate leasing with cash flow.”

The three qualifying Yale® lift truck models for the New Every Two program are the OS-BF order selector, ESC-AD three-wheel stand and the NR-EB reach truck. The models offer a powerful combination of durability, performance and ergonomics for a variety of warehouse applications across multiple industries.

12/15/2016

SIMI VALLEY, Calif, June 14, 2016 – AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV), a leading supplier of industrial fast and opportunity charging solutions for electric forklifts, is proudly participating this week in the Industrial Truck Association’s (ITA) National

Forklift Safety Day.

National Forklift Safety Day is an important opportunity each year for companies to highlight the safe use of forklifts and support equipment, including batteries and chargers. According to Compliance and Safety Statistics, more than 100,000 forklift accidents occur every year, costing businesses an estimated $135 million. In addition, one in six workplace deaths is caused by forklift accidents. Forklift accidents have a significant impact on employees’ and customers’ health and satisfaction, hence the importance of promoting National Forklift Safety Day throughout the year.

National Forklift Safety Day will be held this year on June 14, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, Washington, DC. This event will feature speakers from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, the National Safety Council, key industry representatives and the chairman of the congressional OSHA Oversight Subcommittee.

Ken Karklin, general manager and vice president of the Efficient Energy Systems business segment at AeroVironment, said the company strongly promotes the importance of National Forklift Safety Day, emphasizing the value of all stakeholders committing to a greater focus on this important topic, not just on one day, but throughout the entire year. “Safety has always been a top priority for AeroVironment, with an added focus on forklift safety since we started developing fast chargers for electric forklifts more than 15 years ago.” he said. “Our goal remains improving environmental quality and safety by promoting and enabling the efficient use of zero emission electric forklifts. Our advanced monitoring and telematics technology, including Battery Rx™ and Connect Rx™, protect valuable assets and minimize the need to acquire or change batteries, thus reducing cross plant traffic and related accidents.”

AeroVironment’s Battery Rx is a fleet management solution designed to manage battery charging more efficiently than existing methods, enhancing productivity and reducing operational costs. By monitoring and sufficiently charging a single battery in the forklift, Battery Rx delivers cost savings and helps reduce a fleet’s carbon footprint and pollution by extending battery life and reducing the number of batteries consumed. AeroVironment engineers developed Connect Rx, a standard feature on PosiCharge™ ProCore, to detect potential hazards before they materialize. Connect Rx is an advanced cable connector health monitoring technology that detects connector abnormalities during charging sessions. It immediately alerts users to possible charger and battery output issues that could potentially result in injuries to employees.

Karklin said AeroVironment’s design safety begins at the product concept stage and continues through manufacturing and training. “We leverage new technologies continuously to improve safety for all our new and existing products. We believe it’s important to join with the Industrial Truck Association and other manufacturers in continuing to enhance product safety and promote awareness about safety throughout the entire industry year round,” he added.

12/15/2016

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 9, 2016 – AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV), a leading supplier of industrial fast and opportunity charge systems in North America, today introduced the PosiCharge™ ProCore™ Series - a premium intelligent charging family that supports and charges any material handling battery. Ranging in power from 5kW for lower-duty vehicles to 30kW for the hardest-working electric forklifts, the new PosiCharge ProCore Series is the ideal charging solution for electric forklift fleets of all sizes.

The latest addition to AeroVironment's proven family of PosiCharge fast and opportunity charge systems, the ProCore Series includes an extensive array of features that makes it easy to use, flexible, customizable and cost-effective.

“AeroVironment PosiCharge systems established the industrial fast charge market more than 15 years ago. Since that time we have been reducing operating costs and increasing productivity in high-velocity operations for Fortune and Global 500 factories, distribution centers and warehouses throughout North America and increasingly across the globe,” noted Ken Karklin, general manager of AeroVironment’s Efficient Energy Systems business segment. “Electric forklifts are playing an increasingly important role in the global supply chain, and we remain committed to supporting our customers’ material handling operations with the most capable, reliable and effective charging solutions through our new premium ProCore Series of chargers.”

A lightweight, powerful, highly efficient charger that consumes minimal floor space, ProCore requires no specific training to mount, install and update. Its colorful, digital display and mobile app set a new standard for ease of use by enabling fleet managers or forklift operators to configure ProCore chargers on the go. Setting up, programming and troubleshooting ProCore chargers is now quick and easy with an iOS or Android smart phone.

Operational flexibility reduces costs and improves efficiency, and ProCore’s modular powerstage offers unprecedented flexibility to accommodate any forklift fleet - from the smallest to the largest operations. This modular design makes ProCore easy to maintain, upgrade and repurpose, and its robust, single port architecture makes it highly customizable. Additionally, PosiCharge standard multivoltage capabilities allow different forklifts with different batteries to charge on the same ProCore charger, independent of type, brand, voltage or size.

AeroVironment's entire line-up of PosiCharge systems is designed to deliver a measurable, positive impact on the environment by reducing the total number of batteries required to operate a fleet, and by improving the efficiency and performance of the battery itself. The new ProCore Series enhances these features by prolonging battery life and reducing downtime. ProCore protects battery investments by enabling the battery and charger to “speak” to each other, and is programmable for peak demand management. Its patent pending, built-in ConnectRx connector health monitoring technology promotes industry leading operational safety by detecting abnormalities during charging and alerting users to possible problems while shutting down the charge session to protect valuable equipment and personnel.

ProCore will be available in March 2016. AeroVironment will display the ProCore line at the Modex Show, April 4-7, 2016 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta at booth number 1463.

12/14/2016

HOLLAND, MI— Egemin Automation Inc. continues to add functionality to its E’gv® Compact with the addition of a straddle fork component that will be unveiled at the Egemin booth at ProMat 2017.

As a straddle fork, the E’gv Compact can carry larger and heavier loads than in a standard counterbalance fork configuration.

Initially released at ProMat 2015 as a tugger vehicle capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds, the E’gv Compact was designed from the ground up to be a smaller, less expensive option to a full-size AGV. A modular approach to the design means a faster time to market. The ‘off-the-shelf’ nature of this product translates to a 75% reduction in time from order to delivery compared to a traditional AGV. Combined with the lower up-front cost, the result is a much faster ROI.

In addition to the tugger and straddle component options of the E’gv Compact, a counterbalance (traditional) fork option is also available.

Egemin Automation’s straddle fork configuration for the E’gv Compact will be showcased at ProMat ’17. In this format it can carry larger and heavier loads than in a standard counterbalance fork configuration.

“The Egemin Automation E’gv Compact AGV is leading the way when it comes to offering a solution that just what is needed and not overkill for the operations where it can be used,” said Tom Kaminski, President of Egemin Automation. “In many situations, the E’gv Compact can do same functions as a standard full-size AGV, but in a smaller footprint, faster time to market, and lower overall price. This can create a more attractive ROI for many companies looking to replace non-value added fork truck functionality in their distribution centers.”

About Egemin Automation Inc.

Egemin Automation manufactures, implements and services automated material handling solutions that improve warehouse, production, and distribution center processes. Egemin’s standard and tailor-made automation solutions enable customers to remain one step ahead of the competition.

Egemin’s solutions include design, installation, modernization, and support of automated warehouse and distribution systems, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
