You’re a Junior Tax Associate who wants more than compliance work... you want complex deals, real client exposure, and a path to grow in a top-tier tax practice.

ACC is hiring for a Junior Tax Associate (1–3 years’ experience) in Seattle, Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Boston, New York, Santa Monica, or Washington D.C., with a base range of $225,000–$310,000 + bonus, depending on experience.

You’ll work alongside highly regarded tax attorneys on corporate tax, M&A tax, and international tax matters for Fortune 500s, venture-backed startups, private companies, funds, and emerging tech clients; supporting structuring, planning, research, and deal ex*****on across multiple jurisdictions.

If you have 1–3 years of tax law experience, strong academics, law firm training, exposure to corporate/M&A/international tax, and you’re looking for mentorship plus meaningful responsibility early in your career, this is built for you.

If your stories have no trade offs, they don’t sound real.

Real experience comes with constraints, risks, and things you chose not to do. When candidates leave that out, every example starts to sound like a perfectly polished script.

The best candidates talk openly about trade offs and what they’d change next time. The best hiring managers probe until they hear that level of nuance and honesty.

Next time you share an example, include what you didn’t do... and why. That’s where judgment shows up.

You’re a Senior Corporate Paralegal who loves IPOs, venture financings, and big-ticket deals... not just cleaning up cap tables.

ACC is hiring for a Senior Corporate Paralegal (hybrid) in Silicon Valley, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Seattle, or Santa Monica, supporting a sophisticated corporate practice across Capital Markets, startups/VC, and M&A. Compensation ranges from $120,000–$180,000 + bonus, depending on experience.

You’ll work directly with attorneys, founders, investors, and regulators on IPOs, public company matters, venture financings, and M&A; owning everything from SEC and FINRA support to venture closes, equity management (Carta/Shareworks), and data room diligence.

If you have 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience, strong Capital Markets and public company exposure, and enjoy working with emerging growth and venture-backed companies in a fast-paced environment, this was built for you.

📩 Email your resume to [email protected] with “Senior Corporate Paralegal” in the subject line, or DM us “PARALEGAL” for details.

If your job description attracts everyone, it’s not helping you hire.

Vague job descriptions create crowded pipelines and exhausted hiring teams. Precise, honest postings create smaller, stronger pools of candidates who actually fit the work.

Define what this role is... and isn’t. Clear must haves, real trade offs, and honest expectations will improve your hiring outcomes more than any generic culture blurb.

Before you post your next role, tighten the description until it would turn the wrong people away.

You’re not hiring for one big win... you’re hiring for repeatable patterns.

A single big achievement is a nice story. Seeing the same type of win show up across teams, companies, and managers - that’s a performance pattern.

Great hiring zooms out: Where do they consistently move the needle? What keeps showing up in feedback, outcomes, and responsibilities over time? That’s who you bet on.

In your next interview, ask for three separate examples of the same type of result.

You’re not just evaluating candidates... they’re evaluating how you lead.

Top talent is constantly watching how you prioritize, communicate, and follow through during the hiring process. A slow, scattered experience speaks louder than any careers page.

If you want to hire like a high performing team, show it: clear stages, timely feedback, and firm decisions. Strong candidates read your decision making as a preview of working with you.

If you’re losing great people late in process, audit how your team shows up... not just what you offer.

Most interview questions aren’t about what they say... they’re about what they mean.

Interview questions are rarely about the surface topic. “Tell me about a conflict” is really asking about your self awareness, judgment, and emotional control under pressure.

If you’re a candidate, slow down, clarify, and answer the intent behind the question. If you’re a hiring manager, ask questions that reveal how people think, not just what they did.

Next interview, practice naming the real question behind the words before you respond.

Bad hires usually start with a bad intake, not a bad recruiter.

You can’t “out source” a messy intake meeting. When leaders aren’t aligned on what great looks like, every candidate will feel wrong for a different reason.

Calibrate before you search: must have skills, non negotiables, success metrics, and culture lines you won’t cross. Clean alignment up front saves months of sourcing churn and mis hires.

If your hiring keeps missing, fix the calibration meeting before changing your job boards.
