Today, we got to experience some Irish and Scottish music here at Rankin School of the Narrows, all thanks to ! 🎻

We had two wonderfully talented performers play music and sing for the students and staff - what an incredible experience! Gaelic and Celtic culture is so important to Cape Breton's history, so sharing it with the younger generations is a great way to keep it alive!

Happy Holidays from the staff at Nova Scotia Works / NEDAC! To all the students, staff, and individuals I've worked with and met this year, have a fantastic, joyous, and restful holiday season! 🎄

I definitely want to spend more time taking photos and being more active on social media, now that I've settled into my role as a School Liaison - that's one of my New Years resolutions!

While the students don't return to classes until January 3, I'll be in my office and available for meetings in the North Sydney Mall (116 King St, North Sydney) during the following days:

December 27 - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

December 30 - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

December 31 - 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM

January 2 - 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Today, we observe Remembrance Day - a time to reflect on the countless sacrifices made by thousands of Canadians to ensure our country remained free. To all our veterans, thank you. May your dedication always been recognized. Lest we forget.

Had the great honour of being a part of a smudging ceremony at Rankin School of the Narrows in memory of a community member who has passed on. It's truly amazing to see how many schools around Cape Breton are embracing our island's multitude of cultures and heritages. 🧡
