Agence of Placement Grace is looking to hire Machine Operator And Forklift Operator URGENTLY.
Machine Operator / Bundler The main purpose is to operate, adjust and set up assigned mill lines independently while meeting production, quality, and safety requirements.
The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: • Load steel and paper coil onto uncoilers using a crane. • Tighten uncoiler and cut straps on the coil. • Guide the steel into processing areas (rolls) using jogging controls. • Activate machine using control panel by selecting the order type. Clear any jam-ups. • Set up or adjust rolls and conduct quality inspection to check product conformance. • Gather products, strap into bundles, place bundles onto the wagon, and apply product identification. • Prepare all required production and safety-related reports and forward them to the Supervisor. • Complete any other work assigned by Supervisor / Leadhand / Plant Manager.
Qualifications • Working knowledge of hand tools such as tin snips, tape measures, and calipers, etc. • Able to operate forklift and overhead crane preferred. • Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in English or French. • Personal attributes include ethical, open-minded, observant, and tenacious. • Quick learner, team player with initiatives, and capable of meeting deadlines.
Material Handler (Picker/Packer) Responsibilities and Accountabilities The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Pick and pack orders. Unloading trailers. Removing material from the Packaging Line. Moving material to and from Finished Goods storage areas. Loading trailers. Maintain a clean organized work area. A place for everything and everything in its place. Moving material to and from work centres such as banding, skids, spacers, etc. Emptying steel scrap and garbage bins located on the lines.
Qualifications 3 years of experience in Forkliftoperating a tow motor in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of equipment / tools such as tow motor, strapping machine, and natural gas re-fuel station. Sound knowledge of finished products, lift configurations, sizes and weights, and product stacking requirements. Able to work in shifts on a rotating basis if required. High school graduate, proficient in speaking and writing English and French.
Schedule Shifts are: Day Shift: 6:30am - 2:30pm Night Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00pm
