We are committed to working with you to assess your employment needs and develop an employment action plan. This includes providing you with employment resources and tools, and supporting you on your path to meaningful and sustainable employment. When you begin working with YRESS, you will be asked to complete an “intake form” that allows us to gather the necessary infor
mation regarding your career and educational history. Once your form is complete, you will be interviewed by one of our employees so that we can gain an understanding of what services will best fit with your individual needs and come to a mutual agreement regarding the services to be provided. YRESS provides the following services to help you achieve the end result of your employment action plan:

Labour market information
Job search strategies, including self-marketing strategies
Tips on accessing the hidden job market
Tips on using social media effectively in your job search
Access to a local and national job board
Job referrals
Resume and cover letter assistance
Interview preparation
Computer access for employment purposes
Access to a comprehensive employment resource library
Exploration of training options
Assistance with the application process for government funded training, self-employment and other programming for eligible clients
Information on work experience programs for eligible clients
Referrals to organizations and resources to support your employment goals

YRESS provides several services to employers to help them fill their job openings:
Local job board to post your jobs
Assistance posting your jobs on Service Canada’s online Job Bank
Referral of existing clients for your job openings
Referral list of daily casual workers
Assistance with expected workforce expansion or downsizing, including referral to government programs where applicable
Use of office for interviews if required
Employment maintenance services to aid in employee retention
Employer information sessions
Wage subsidies
