Boston Bar First Nation is looking for an organized, proactive, and community-minded Events Coordinator to join our team.

This role will lead the planning and coordination of community events, cultural gatherings, workshops, meetings, celebrations, and other BBFN initiatives, from logistics and vendors to communications, setup, and follow-up.

📍 Location: Boston Bar, BC
💼 Full-time | In person
💰 Salary: $50,000–$65,000/year
🎓 Previous experience in events coordination is preferred.
🤝 First Nations experience is required
🚗 Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence required

WE’RE HIRING | FISHERIES GUARDIANS (CATCH MONITORS)

Boston Bar First Nation is looking for Catch Monitors to join our fisheries team.

This role is especially meaningful right now. As our Nation continues navigating evacuation and the impacts of the wildfire, our fisheries work also helps us harvest fish for our members and help ensure our community has access to traditional food.

Catch Monitors will work alongside the fisheries team to support fishing activities, monitor and record catches, identify species, collect field data, and help ensure our fisheries activities are carried out responsibly.

📍 Boston Bar, BC
💰 $25.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications
🕒 Up to 37.5 hours per week
🌲 Primarily field-based/outdoor work

We’re looking for people who understand the land, the river and the importance of the work. Knowledge of Fraser River salmon species, Indigenous fisheries and the local territory is required.

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is required. First Aid, GPS/field monitoring experience, and fisheries or natural resource experience are strong assets.
