Are you ready for a change?
The Anishinabek Police Service is actively recruiting experienced police officers *and* those new to the profession - to serve our 16 First Nation communities. Our jurisdiction spans from southern Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron, to northern Ontario on the shores of Long Lake, approximately a four hours’ drive north of Thunder Bay.
If you’re applying to work in one our four northernmost following communities (Ginoogaming First Nation, Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek), we are offering a Northern Incentives package that includes a northern schedule in which you’ll work 12-hr shifts for 10 consecutive days, followed by 11 days off. That’s right! This schedule is designed to support work-life integration while maintaining consistent, high-quality service across the communities we serve. Whether fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, boating or snowmobiling, your time outside of work will be rich with opportunities to explore the wild.
We also offer a northern financial incentive that starts at $2,000 per year after your first year, and scales up to a maximum of $4,000 per year.
And there’s more – We offer free shared accommodations (during your rotation) in Ginoogaming, Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg, and Biigtigong Nishnaabeg.
What are you waiting for? Come join us in our mission of Ganaweniim Anishinabek—protecting our people. 🧡
