On behalf of our client we are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Plastic Injection Moulding Press Set-Up Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up injection moulding presses, safely installing and removing moulds using overhead cranes, and ensuring all equipment and tooling operate correctly and safely.
🔧Key Responsibilities
Set up and prepare plastic injection moulding presses for production runs
Use overhead cranes to safely hang, install, align, and remove injection moulds
Test and verify all machine and tooling safety systems prior to production
Inspect and confirm proper operation of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Perform start-up checks and make basic adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
Troubleshoot set-up issues and report equipment concerns to maintenance or supervision
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Complete required documentation related to set-ups and safety checks
Perform other duties as assigned
🎯Qualifications & Skills
Experience with plastic injection moulding press set-up (preferred)
Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and lifting devices
Strong understanding of machine safety systems and tooling
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and follow work instructions, set-up sheets, and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
📅 Hours: Days, afternoons and night shift
💰 Pay: $23 - $29/hour
