Overview:
Our client is an international automotive technology company that is currently hiring for multiple Route Driver positions in the Kamloops, BC area.
They are currently engaged in a large project that involves testing vehicles in a variety of conditions on prescribed routes within a required amount of time.
Responsibilities:
Driving a specific vehicle throughout a specific route within a required amount of time
Responsible for fuelling the vehicle as needed
Notifies client of any required vehicle maintenance
Provides requested data or information to the company in regards to travel/vehicle as defined by provided procedures
Accurately record/report vehicle fluid levels
Road Side Repairs (i.e. spare tire change if required)
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Experience driving as part of job requirement (ie delivery service, public service employees or previous fleet driving experience)
Basic Automotive Service (mechanical knowledge) experience (changing oil, changing tire/wheels)
Proficient time management skills
Experience driving and operating in inclement weather conditions (snow, ice, poor visibility, very cold conditions, poorly maintained roads, etc.)
Experience driving a vehicle with a trailer
These are full time contract roles with an expected duration of twelve months, with possible extensions into 2023.
