The wait is almost over! 👏⏰

The PACE (Physician Assessment Centre of Excellence) Hospitalist Pathway opens for applications on Monday, November 17th, 2025.

This new Practice Ready Assessment program, delivered in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia and the Medical Council of Canada, is for Internationally Trained family Physicians (ITPs)and internal medicine specialists with hospitalist experience. PACE evaluates your readiness to practice through a competency-based supervised assessment in real healthcare settings.

PACE assessments have limited capacity and no set intakes, which means spots are extremely competitive.

🎉Launchpad is excited to welcome our new PACE ITP Support Specialist, Carol Hutchings, to the team!

This role is all about supporting international physicians through their PACE journey—reviewing applications, guiding candidates through a smooth and respectful process, and helping new doctors settle into the Halifax community so they can focus on their assessments.

Carol joined Launchpad in August 2025. With her strong knowledge of the primary care landscape in Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada, she brings valuable experience in building connections and providing meaningful support to physicians.

We're growing! Please join me in welcoming Dr. Kiran Atwal, our Senior Dental Consultant.

Dr. Atwal has been in private practice for over 15 years and started her own dental office in 2011. She understands the importance of having the right fit between a dental office and an associate dentist, and her experience and knowledge will be a great asset to our candidates and employers. Kiran is looking forward to assisting her dental colleagues overcome the challenges of finding associates to grow their dental practice.

Kiran is originally from the small town of St. Thomas, Ontario. After completing her undergraduate degree and dental school at the University of Western Ontario, she moved to Florida to complete a one-year AEGD residency. Kiran is a breast cancer survivor and shares her story to help other professionals affected by cancer.
