We’re proud to have supported the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in finding their new Executive Director and can’t wait to see all the exciting things ahead. 🦖

The River of Death and Discovery Dinosaur Museum Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Deanna Way as Executive Director of the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum.

Deanna joined the Museum on July 27, 2026, succeeding outgoing Executive Director Linden Roberts, who is retiring this fall.

Deanna previously served as Executive Director of the Quinte Museum of Natural History in Ontario. Her experience spans museum leadership, collections, exhibitions, governance, and organizational development.

“It is a privilege to join the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum,” said Deanna. “The Museum has established itself as a leader in palaeontological research and public education, and I am honoured to become part of that legacy.”

“We are delighted to welcome Deanna to both the Museum and the County of Grande Prairie,” said Bob Marshall, Chair of the River of Death and Discovery Dinosaur Museum Society. “Together, we look forward to building on the Museum’s strong foundation, strengthening its role within the Peace Region, and continuing to welcome visitors from across Canada and around the world.”

Situated in the heart of one of the world's richest dinosaur fossil regions and inspired by the internationally significant Pipestone Creek Bonebed, the Museum contributes to scientific discovery while fostering lifelong learning and serving as a cultural and tourism destination for the Peace Region.
