As we recognize Hunger Action Month and prepare for Agilec’s annual Turn the Tables on Hunger next week, we want to highlight resources available to support individuals and families who may need a helping hand.

Across Canada, many organizations provide access to food, community programs, and other essential supports. These services are available to help people navigate challenging times and connect with the resources they need.

It's once again time to Turn the Tables on Hunger!

As part of our commitment to giving back to the communities we serve, and in recognition of Hunger Awareness Month this September, Agilec staff are once again supporting our annual Turn the Tables on Hunger initiative. Through a variety of fundraising efforts and community activities, we are working together to help combat hunger across our regions.

The Agilec Goderich team is organizing a Food Drive, running now through September 11, in support of the following local organizations:

• Big Brothers Big Sisters Family Pantry (Huron County)
• Seeking Human Kindness Initiative (Goderich)
• Noah's Ark at the Pentecostal Church (Exeter)
• Blessings Community Store & Food Bank (Zurich)
• The Huron County Food Bank (Clinton and surrounding communities)

We are accepting donations between now and September 11 at our location and a number of community partners. If your organization wants to participate, please reach out to us and we'd be happy to arrange pick-up! Here is a list of items in high need:

• Single pack nutritional snack items
• Bottled water
•Hydration packets
•Feminine products
•Cereal & instant oatmeal
•Cooking oil & spices
•Peanut butter
•Canned proteins (chicken, tuna, ham, salmon)

September is Hunger Action Month 💛

Hunger affects individuals and families in every community, and Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about food insecurity and take steps in the collective role we can play to address it.

As part of our annual Turn the Tables on Hunger initiative and commitment to giving back, teams across Agilec will come together during the week of September 14 to support local food banks and community organizations that help ensure no one goes hungry.
