If you've never pictured yourself working in construction, you may be overlooking a career path that uses a very different set of strengths.

The Career Connect Project Coordinator Program focuses on skills such as project planning and scheduling, leadership, communication, working with stakeholders, and using today's tools to help plan and track projects.

It's about learning how to help connect people, projects and progress, and preparing to pursue employment opportunities in the construction industry.

This is important: Career Connect is a full training program, not a short workshop. The program begins September 21, 2026, with a potential end date of December 11, 2026. Participants need to be prepared to commit to the full program so they have the opportunity to develop the skills and job readiness the training is designed to provide.

There is no cost to attend. The program is fully funded by the Government of Alberta.

Not sure if this opportunity is right for you? Register online. Our team will be in touch to provide more information about the program and next steps.

When you think about a career in construction, what comes to mind?

For many people, it's working on the tools. But construction projects also need people who can help organize, communicate, coordinate and keep projects moving forward.

That's where project coordination comes in.

A project coordinator helps connect people, plans, schedules and progress. It's a career path that can draw on strengths you may already have β€” being organized, communicating well, keeping track of details, working with different people and helping a team stay focused on what needs to happen next.

The Career Connect Project Coordinator Program at Careers Under Construction is designed to help you develop skills in:

β€’ Project planning and scheduling
β€’ Leadership and communication
β€’ Working with teams and stakeholders
β€’ Using today's tools to plan and track projects
β€’ Preparing for employment opportunities in the construction industry

You don't need to have pictured yourself working in construction before. Your skills may have a place in the industry that you haven't considered yet.

This is a full training program beginning September 21, 2026, with a potential end date of December 11, 2026. Participants must be prepared to commit to the full program to build the skills and job readiness needed to pursue opportunities in this field.

There is no cost to attend. The program is fully funded by the Government of Alberta.

Want to find out if Project Coordinator could be a fit for you? Register online and our team will be in touch to discuss the program and next steps.

Every great journey begins with understanding yourself.

Before you decide where you're going, it helps to understand who you are.

What are your strengths? What motivates you? What matters most to you? What kind of work will help you thrive?

These are the questions that lay the foundation for meaningful career decisions.

The In Motion phase of Path Forward is designed to help you gain clarity and confidence by exploring your strengths, values, interests, and goals. As you build greater self-awareness, you'll begin to see new possibilities and create a stronger vision for your future.

The first step toward a brighter future isn't finding the perfect job. It's discovering the strengths that have been within you all along.
