Quick answer: Starting November 3, 2026, Canada will change Express Entry scoring for eligible Canadian work experience and qualifying job offers in high-wage occupations. IRCC will compare the work-experience score with the job-offer score and use the higher one. AAIP October 2026 Update: What Alberta Workers Should Do Now.

Quick answer: Alberta’s October 7, 2026 AAIP update shows the province has issued 5,541 nominations out of a 6,603 annual allocation, leaving 1,062 nomination spaces and 948 applications to be processed.
