As I celebrated my 70th birthday on August 14, 2026, my heart was filled with warmth from all the greetings, prayers, and kind messages you shared with me. Each word reminded me how blessed I am — not only for reaching this milestone, but for the people who have walked with me through the years.
Entering another chapter of my life made me reflect on the journey behind me: the challenges that shaped me, the joys that lifted me, and the countless moments of grace that carried me forward. God has surrounded me with a loving family, faithful friends, and loved ones who have made my life richer and more meaningful.

As I approach my 70th birthday on August 14, 2026, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to those who have been my pillars of strength and support throughout my journey.
First and foremost, to my incredible mother, who at 100 years old has made countless sacrifices for our family. Your strength and love have been the foundation of everything I am today.

To my beloved husband, Gary Hains, thank you for your unwavering support and love throughout our 36 years of marriage. Your daily photography has been my personal inspiration, capturing moments that remind me of our journey together. Whatever challenges lie ahead, we will both face them head-on.

Running Can-Phil Pacific Agency Ltd. for 26 years as founders and partners is not just a business achievement – it’s a testament to endurance, trust, and the impact that Gary and I have had on thousands of people’s lives. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to come to Canada, a land of hope and possibilities. This journey has allowed me to grow, learn and become a business owner, fulfilling dreams I once only imagined. It reinforces my identity as someone who didn’t just dream but built something that changed lives.

To our wonderful daughters, Sharon and Kristi, you both bring so much joy and pride into our lives. Watching you grow and succeed has been one of my greatest blessings. Congratulations, Sharon, for your very own successful business.

I am honoured to have been elected President of the Caregiver Association in Alberta, Canada. Together, my husband and I have provided full support for several years to those who needed it most. Their success has become our lifelong reward.

Never the least, my heartfelt gratitude goes to Edith Beladas Dela Cruz, who helped open the door to the life I am blessed with today. Her kindness and guidance will forever remain a cornerstone of my journey.

Lastly, I praise the Lord for my good health and for the good health of my entire family. To all my relatives, friends, and everyone who has walked with me through the years — thank you. Your love, your support, and your presence have shaped my life in ways words can barely capture.
