We are happy to report that Buffy had a wonderful time at the 8th Annual Alberta Métis Fest.

He made time to explore, run the Métis Education Foundation / Rupertsland booth with the team, hang out with the Métis Nation of Alberta Youth team, and ride on his first golf cart!

Next time though, he'll bring his own wheels for transport.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Métis Fest!! Stay tuned for more Buffy adventures throughout the summer ☀️🦬

Did you catch a photo with Buffy? Tag us in it!

Thank you to our partner NorQuest College for helping to share this amazing story.

“Anybody can do it. Don’t be scared.”

After selling the business she had owned for 20 years, Janel found herself starting over and searching for a new path. As a single mother supporting her son and family, she made the decision to return to school and build a future she could grow in.

With the support from Rupertsland Institute: Métis Education Foundation, education became possible. Tuition, books, and resources helped remove barriers and gave Janel a career she wants to excel in.

The Kitchen Party Tour hit St. Paul de Métis and the people showed up. ♾️

We asked people what their favourite part of the Kitchen Party Tour was and their answers say it all.

The music. The dancing. The connections made. The feeling of just being together.

A change of plans with the rain meant we moved the celebration indoors and the community never missed a beat.

That feeling is coming to Grande Prairie in ONE WEEK and our Métis Coureur de Bois Mobile Services team will be right there with you.

We will be joining the Kitchen Party Tour across the Peace River Territory, Districts 13, 14 & 15:

📍 June 26 Grande Prairie
Muskoseepi Park Amphitheatre

📍 June 27 Peace River
Riverfront Park

📍 June 28 Fort Vermilion
Community and Cultural Complex Hall

Just look for the RV! We hope to see you there.

Have you been funded by Rupertsland Institute or a Métis Scholar Award and graduated from post-secondary?

Join us at our Edmonton Alumni Event at the Art Gallery of Alberta on June 18!

This evening will encourage building meaningful relationships among fellow Métis alumni, strengthening professional networks, and creating space to connect with community. Guests will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, Rupertsland Institute, and the Métis Education Foundation.

The Otipemisiwak Métis Alumni Association will have a gallery hand selected by our team from the Art Gallery of Alberta’s collection to adorn the evening and create a unique and memorable setting for connection, reflection, and celebration.

We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments and welcoming you to an evening of connection, community, and celebration.
