Today, we honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡
September 30 is a day to recognize and remember the children who never returned home from residential schools, the Survivors who did, and their families and communities.
It is also an opportunity to listen, learn and deepen our understanding of the history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system and the work of reconciliation in Canada.
Reconciliation requires more than recognition on a single day. We encourage our community to take time today to learn from the voices, histories and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
Every Child Matters.
