Another great stop on the Douglas College Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants road tour!

We were pleased to connect with the team at South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services in Penticton for an informative information session with clients and staff. The session provided an opportunity to share details about the Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants program and explore supports available to internationally trained professionals in BC.

The Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants team was excited to visit NexusBC Community Resource Centre and connect with their dedicated staff supporting newcomers and job seekers in the region.

These visits are an important part of strengthening partnerships across BC and ensuring skilled immigrants have access to the support, training, and employment resources they need to continue their professional careers in Canada. Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants, a province-wide employment program for skilled immigrants in BC, is on the road! First stop: Kamloops, where we met with the fantastic team at Kamloops Immigrant Services.

It was a great opportunity to connect, share ideas, and strengthen partnerships that help internationally trained professionals access career support, credential recognition guidance, and employment opportunities across the province. We’re excited to continue building relationships with communities throughout BC and supporting skilled immigrants as they restart their careers in Canada.
