Our Resource and Information Centre is open to all members of the community and provides a wide variety of services and resources to support you in your job search or career planning:

Employment Counselling: Assisted Service
One-to-one employment counselling is available for clients who require more individualized support. The Resource and Information Centre remains a valuable resource to assist in research, job search and decision-making. Job Placement and Financial Incentives
You may be eligible for workplace supports that include referral to available jobs, support in the workplace and/or wage subsidies to help you to get that job. Training Support
Some clients may be eligible for training supports to help them to gain the skills to increase their ability to find and keep appropriate employment. Services may have suitability requirements that will be assessed by your counsellor. Some level of service is available to all clients who are eligible to work in Canada.

Here's what the latest Labour Force Survey results show:

➡️ A 5.7% unemployment rate in May, no change from April (seasonally adjusted three-month moving average).

➡️ Comparable Ontario and national rates were 7.4% (down 0.2) and 6.7% (down 0.1) respectively.

➡️ News reports typically look at monthly data, showing 7.0% (down 0.5) for Ontario and 6.6% (down 0.3) nationally in May.
