⭐️ Summer Student Employment Highlight ⭐️

🔬 Meet Drew Sark, a member of Lennox Island First Nation entering her final year at University of Prince Edward Island this fall, where she's working towards her Bachelor of Science in Physics!

This summer, we had the pleasure of having Drew join us at MCPEI for her summer student placement! Drew works with our Integrated Resource Management Team. Her primary role this summer was transcribing Land Use Interviews, giving her the chance to listen to countless stories from Indigenous people living on Epekwitk. Along the way, she learned so much about her culture, this Island's history, and its ecosystems.

Drew has been a client of the Employment Services Department in past years. After gaining valuable office experience in previous placements, our Employment Counsellor, Sabrina, thought MCPEI's IRM Department would be a great fit for Drew and her science background - and we are so glad she did!

Drew's team has nothing but great things to say about her, and they'll certainly miss her when she heads back to UPEI!
