Canadian Career Academy Your job is out there. We'll help you find it. Our Employment Resource Centre is a one-stop shop that offers a full suite of FREE employment services.

We are proud of our client services with an average of 98% of our clients and employers stating that they were happy with our service and would recommend our service to others on government monitored surveys. We are funded by Employment Ontario and have helped individuals from our community since 1986 find employment, start their own business or become retrained. If you are unemployed or underempl

oyed you will have access to full services which include confidential meetings with one of our Employment Specialists, options offered through Employment Ontario such as: Second Career (funded training program), Apprenticeships and other funded programs that support employment. We have a fully equipped resource centre with workstations to job search from. Workshops and seminars to give you the tools and confidence to support your job search. Employed individuals expecting a job loss and students entering the workforce or that are looking for summer work are all welcome. We are Carleton Place and area's connection to Youth Job Link, am employment program for youth 15-29 that face few barriers to employment. Employers that are interested in training their workforce we are your access to Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG). Job seekers see us about:

“I don’t know what I want to do.”

Honestly? That’s where most people start. At 20, Jay had no resume, no clear plan, and no idea where to begin.

We didn’t force an answer. We started with what he didn’t hate. What he was curious about. What kind of life he wanted. From there, we built a plan: resume, job search, and next steps.

Now he’s working, learning, and figuring it out as he goes.

You don’t need a perfect plan to get started. You just need a starting point.

“I applied to 40 jobs and didn’t hear anything.”

That’s what Alisha told us when she came in.

She was doing everything she thought she was supposed to do but getting zero response.

We took a look at her resume and made a few targeted changes. Nothing drastic, just clearer, more focused, easier for employers to scan.

We also adjusted how and where she was applying.

Within days, she started getting responses.

A week later, she had interviews lined up.

Sometimes it’s not about trying harder, it’s about trying differently.
