We are currently seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to take on a dual role as Equipment Foreman. This position is essential as we expand our operations. The ideal candidate will excel in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining light-duty trucks (e.g., Ford F450/550), single-axle tilt trailers, and various small support equipment, including Tennant riding sweepers and scrubbers. You will manage the entire maintenance cycle, including repairs, preventative maintenance, parts inventory, and maintaining COR accreditation records.

Key Responsibilities:

-Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
-Perform bodywork tasks, including bumper, door, and seat replacements.
-Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a diverse range of vehicles and equipment.
-Complete thorough inspections and provide precise repair estimates and timelines, ensuring excellent record-keeping.
-Maintain an organized and clean mechanic bay and tool crib.

Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic, apprentice, or equipment maintenance assistant, or demonstration of high mechanical aptitude through personal experience.
-General knowledge of diesel engines and both 2 and 4 stroke gasoline engines, both carbureted and fuel injected.
-Basic automotive welding skills (MIG or ARC).
-Familiarity with vehicle hoists, forklifts, and skid steers.
-Skilled in diagnosing and repairing vehicle/equipment systems without relying solely on computer diagnostics.
-Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
-Must be able to work independently as Equipment Foreman while contributing to a team.
-Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with applicants preferably over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
-Reliable transportation to our Edmonton location - Willingness to be on call during evenings and weekends as needed based on operational requirements.
-Flexibility to travel for specialized training and maintenance work outside of Edmonton.

Day Shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 4 days on, 2 off.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience with airless spray painting, high PSI hoses, big pumps (5–50 gal/hr), and all paint types

Read/interpret blueprints; inspect surfaces; ensure smooth coverage
Operate abrasive blasting, spray, and coating equipment
