Tip for Cold Calling:
Cold calling is not going away soon. It has morphed into check-in calls and catch-up calls and those are just as precious to generate possible leads and build relationships.
Starting the call with "Did I catch you at a bad time?" plummets your success rate for booking a meeting by 40%. At the least you would want to have a friendly conversation and not immediately make it more attractive to say no.
Switch it up by starting your call with "How have you been?" or "How are you?". This is a more friendly way of opening a convo. Now the reciver does have the option of saying yes or no and you would also not sound too aggressive when making an unannounced call to touch base.
