Tip for Cold Calling:

Cold calling is not going away soon. It has morphed into check-in calls and catch-up calls and those are just as precious to generate possible leads and build relationships.

Starting the call with "Did I catch you at a bad time?" plummets your success rate for booking a meeting by 40%. At the least you would want to have a friendly conversation and not immediately make it more attractive to say no.

Switch it up by starting your call with "How have you been?" or "How are you?". This is a more friendly way of opening a convo. Now the reciver does have the option of saying yes or no and you would also not sound too aggressive when making an unannounced call to touch base.

The Call to Action or CTA is crucial in capturing and translating the customers time and attention to the next step. Whether you are adding a CTA to your email or website copy, keeping it simple and clear will help assure your customer that they are at the right place to proceed to the next step.

Including action words in the subject line of a personalized email that ends with a clear next step for the client to follow if they are interested is a great place to start!

While using jargon might be appropriate in some situations and essential in others, it is more likely to overwhelm your target audience when used for marketing your product / services.

Instead, understand the knowledge of your audience and craft content that they relate to by using their language in your marketing and outreach.

🧐 As you ascend into your zen mode when selling, do not forget to be mindful of the fact that your buyer is on their own separate decision making path.

✈️ It is wise to travel beside them on their journey by finding out what their needs are and how your solution is going to fit in that framework to solve their problem.

🎯 When you hit that frustration or that pain point of the buyer that fits perfectly in your solution, you would have hit satisfaction gold and no longer need to 'sell'. The solution will sell itself.
